Not much is known about his past. His homeland was destroyed by Harmonia and he acquired the True Lightning Rune sometime after that. He fought alongside Wyatt and the Flame Champion as the original Firebringers then split ways with them after a truce was made between Harmonia and the Grasslands. For nearly 50 years, he kept a hidden profile. He eventually made his way to Caleria where he became the captain of the 12th unit of the Harmonian Southern Frontier Defense Force.

In IS 475, the truce expired, and Harmonia renewed its search for the True Runes. Ironically, Geddoe and his unit were ordered to find the Flame Champion and the Firebringers. He played along, realizing in the meantime that something else was happening. Using his connections across Grasslands and Zexen, and by having his unit investigate certain events, he learned about the Masked Bishop and his intentions. Geddoe found himself pitted against the masked man - later revealed to be Luc - and he and his unit became involved in what was eventually known as the Second Firebringer War.

Luc stole his True Lightning Rune at one point but Geddoe recovered it right before defeating him at the Cermonial Site. Afterwards, he returned to Caleria with his unit, Aila unofficially joining them as well. The 12th had been drinking as usual in the tavern one night when he found himself in unfamiliar surroundings ...
